     Communications







 

 We are responsible for the development and implementation of the communications strategies and plans, working collaboratively with other offices and units across campus, including other faculties, Admissions, the School of Graduate Studies, University Relations and more.

In addition to strategic initiatives, the team performs a wide range of duties 

  • Developing communications for the  leadership, from written correspondence to presentations, proposals, reports, and annual reviews
  • Managing media, public relations and issues 
  • Supporting departments by coordinating with the Queen’s central communications to provide advice and guidance for managing media, public relations and issues
  • Storytelling and news reporting for the Office and departments
  • Delivering bi-weekly student and faculty and staff e-newsletters
  • Maintaining a calendar of important dates, deadlines and special events
  • Managing the display cases in Mac-Corry Hall, which are available to departments upon request

To support student recruitment, the team also:

  • performs market research
  • produces publications and materials 
  • promotes recruitment events 
  • conducts advertising campaigns as well as specific departments and units
